OCIA ministers prepare adults for full initiation into the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. For adults interested in becoming Catholic (a Catechumen), or for those who are already baptized Catholic, but have not received the sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation (a Candidate), the OCIA ministers provide guidance in their faith journey. The OCIA program begins in September each year and culminates at the Easter Vigil. Parishioners willing to share their commitment to Christ are encouraged to participate in this ministry.
